I still did it and not ashame!

As-salam =)

Have you ever heard of 'nenek kebayan'? Well, I am not going to tell tale about the Legendary of the Gunong Ledang. Just an entry about this Malaysian 'permainan tradisional' so called, 'nenek'. Usually kids would say, "Jom main nenek-nenek'! Believe it or not, I still play this 'permainan tradisional' with my youngest sister, Shasha and my Chinese neighbor's, three years old kid named Eric. It is sort of a routine of these kids to go out and play like almost everyday at 6.00pm sharp! Shasha, she so excited to have someone to play with - someone in her age that she would asks 'Yayah, dah pukul berapa?' like 1000 times daily! She annoyed me, but it is what I miss most these days! =(

The first 'nenek'!

Finally, Cik Sarah made up her mind to join us.

Cik Sarah starts spinning and dizzy. HAHA.

Last 'nenek', Wawa before she off to date with Momo?

I must admit, this is an interesting game, even for young adult like myself! It's fun to do something crazy once in awhile and my perfect and absolute favourite to describe the situation is, distress!

Haha. Please, adults! Do fun stuffs, enjoy yourself! Back to childhood is not even a sin, and totally not guilty. Let go of the grip for awhile and distress! Perfect for weekend and totally suitable to bond-up the family relationship.

Puteri Trauma

As-salam =)

.. coz Puteri Trauma ni mulutnya tak becok macam 'buyong'!

Kenapa nama Puteri Trauma?

Haha.. part ni yang paling best! .. tapi, minta maaf!

Alasannya,

"Kucing biasa la! Tak comel! Tak gebu!"
No comment!

.. or bela kucing jalanan yang makin tak sedar diri, lupa asal-usul.

Sedih sangat!

Tapi, diorang get along quite well aje! Kan?

Once, Berok jilatkan bulu PUTERI TRAUMA.
Berok & Puteri Trauma bergaduh juga! Diorang kononnya macam nak bergurau, tapi lastly turned out almost macam bergaduh. The owner risau kalau-kalau masa bergaduh tu tercekau, tertusuk, ter- ter- ter- (macam2 ter-).

(setelah seketika memendam perasaan!)
"Jangan mempercepatkan Kiamat!"
Aku tahu mulut aku sangat lazer! Sebab tu aku malas nak bersuara. Tapi, minta maaf! Aku memang tak berapa boleh terus pendamkan perasaan.

"Bukan salah kucing kalau dia bertindak lupa asal-usul. Sikit pun tak! Salah manusia yang makin 'me-manusia-kan' binatang".

Comel, kan? .. terutamanya tang mata tu!

Health Benefits of Ginger and a Recipe for Real Ginger Ale

As-salam =)
Was planning to sleep superb early today 'cause I am so tired, caused by the PMS. Yet, wide awake deleting emails from my account. I found several newsletters wrote by Dr. Ben Kim about health. I sort of pick the best one, which I found it beneficial and easy to make, and I would love to share it here and hopefully we will get most benefits from it.

Here how it goes,

**********************************************
Long before the creation of Canada Dry and other sugar-laden soft drink versions of ginger ale, people used to make and drink real ginger ale for its refreshing taste and health benefits.
Real ginger ale is made with...you guessed it, real ginger! And ginger has long been used by Asian cultures to treat and prevent a variety of physical ailments.

Ginger Helps to Ease Digestive Discomfort
In the practice of traditional Chinese medicine, ginger is often prescribed to decrease intestinal gas production and to relax the smooth muscles that line the digestive tract.
Double-blind studies have found ginger to be effective in decreasing symptoms of motion sickness, particularly sea sickness. More specifically, intake of ginger has been shown to decrease feelings of dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and the production of cold sweats. One study even found ginger to be more effective than Dramamine, a drug that is often used to treat symptoms of motion sickness.
Ginger is Effective for Nausea and Vomiting Associated with Pregnancy
A large-scale study that was published in the April 2005 issue of Obstetrics and Gynecology found that ginger can effectively decrease nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, even in severe cases where strong anti-vomiting drugs are normally prescribed. As was to be expected, there were no adverse or "side" effects reported with pregnancy outcomes due to ginger intake. Contrast this with the risk of birth defects that is associated with taking anti-vomiting drugs, and it's really a no-brainer for all pregnant women who experience intolerable nausea and vomiting to try taking small amounts of ginger before resorting to conventional drug-based treatments.

Ginger Provides Natural Anti-Inflammatory Effects
Real ginger is abundant in natural compounds called gingerols, which have strong anti-inflammatory properties. Numerous clinical studies have found that ginger can provide significant pain relief to people who suffer with degenerative or rheumatoid arthritis and/or chronic pain in their muscles.

Ginger Can Provide Protection Against Colorectal Cancer and Ovarian Cancer
Research presented at the Frontiers in Cancer Prevention Research meeting in Phoenix, Arizona in October of 2003 suggests that gingerols found in real ginger may inhibit the growth of cancer cells in the colon.
Research findings presented at the 97th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer showed that gingerols are actually able to kill ovarian cancer cells.

How to Take Ginger

Because ginger is so concentrated with gingerols and other beneficial nutrients, a small amount goes a long way.
Ginger tea made by steeping a 1/2-inch slice of fresh ginger in a mug of hot water is usually enough to sooth an irritated digestive tract.
For arthritis-related pain, eating even a quarter inch slice of fresh ginger with food or freshly pressed juices can provide significant relief.
How to Select and Prepare Ginger
You should aim to choose fresh ginger over dried ginger whenever possible, as fresh ginger is more flavorful and contains higher levels of beneficial nutrients. Fresh ginger can be found in most food markets in the produce section. Look for roots that are firm and free of mold.
You can peel the skin with a knife, a potato peeler, or even the edge of a spoon.
If you don't feel up to cooking with ginger, an excellent way to get it into your diet is through freshly pressed juices. If you have a juicer or a strong blender, I encourage you to give the following recipe for all-natural ginger ale a try:

Real Ginger Ale Recipe

Ingredients:
1-inch piece of ginger root, peeled
1 medium tangerine, quartered
1 pint of red grapes, with seeds
2 cups of watermelon, with rind, cubed
4 ounces of sparkling mineral water
Directions:
Push ginger root, tangerine, grapes, and watermelon through a juicer.
Add mineral water to juice and stir well.
If you use a strong blender in place of the juicer, use some of the sparkling mineral water to get the ingredients going and add the remaining water once the ingredients are blended together. Depending on the strength of your blender, you may need to use a strainer if you prefer a clear ginger ale.
Because this recipe for natural ginger ale calls for quite a bit of fruit juice, it's best to have it only occasionally. If you have trouble maintaining a healthy blood sugar level, you can juice a 1/4 slice of fresh ginger root with six leaves of romaine lettuce, 3 ribs of celery, and 2 carrots for a ginger-flavored green vegetable drink.

Mencari Yang Terlalu Sempurna - DR. FADZILAH KAMSAH

Aku terjumpa buku RAPI 15 SEPT 2011, front page gambar Nurul Abd. Wahab. Jangan salah sangka, ok? Bukan nak bercerita tentang janda Ajai tu, just nak berkongsi dengan tips kecantikan, terutamanya dengan para gadis dan wanita sekalian mengenai urutan wajah.

Aku pernah post entri mengenai 'urutan wajah' ni zaman dulu kala. Disebabkan connection tak begitu menggalakkan, so kalau nak baca kenalah do it the old ways - browse the list of entries.

APAKAH KEBAIKANNYA?

Dengan melakukan urutan wajah, anda mampu melewatkan penuaan sehingga sepuluh tahun! Hebat bukan?

Plan for the remaining holidays.

As-salam =)

Sorry again. It's not really my intentions to keep writing. Can't help it! I was having my insomnia for today and I don't know why. =(

I made plans to really enjoy my remaining holidays. I certainly plan on/to:

  1. Lose some weight - aim to be 45kg, but hard to achieve! Tone up will do.
  2. Get rid of the eye-bags - bothers me much
  3. Refiling my notes
That were totally my bigger aim for the holidays, yet I didn't really work anything out. All I did was lying on the bed, tuck my bottom tightly to chair front of TV, going in-out of kitchen. Hmm... loosing confident of oneself! Apa la you!

Cari semangat! cari semangat!

Diet drinks - Must try this!

As-salam =)

Sorry for the continuous entries. I have this delightful diet drink formula - cheap, simple and totally delicious to share with you guys. Firstly, it is not to be taken as a diet drink to somebody who eager to slim down the body, but also to someone who suffers constipation - it works best!

I tried to mix cut BANANA and my digestion drink formula, ORANGE flavor - looks like glucose but not the same. You see, the idea was to mix real fruits, in this case are banana and orange. Also, add on some scoops of PLAIN  YOGURTS for the creamier, smoother taste. As you can see, banana rich in minerals such as potassium which is good to for the digestion and the bowel movement (totally!), while an orange is rich in vitamins, for example vitamin A and B, good for the skin - repairing the broken inner and outer cells. It is a really good combination of flavors, yet good for the health.

Texture? See for yourself!

Orange-like color with creamier looking.. yummy!

It smells so good that it attracts my cat's attention.

Well, of course I have some other pictures, but I really don't know why the pictures won't rotate to the right and exact place? Hmm.. but, it was pretty amazing diet drinks, isn't it? I tried to lose few kilos these holidays but only manage to lose a kilo, since I am doing the yoga ONLY! There are no PILATES or JOG! But I assume the diet drinks I just shared could be as a starting motivation for you, right? =)

TIPS:
If you don't really like the fruits combinations, you can always come out with something else that suit you best. Just REMEMBER to not add on sugars 'cause it will no longer be a 'diet drinks'. And to motivate you a little longer, try to drink from a beautiful and cute glass just like mine. =) It motivates me a lot, so I am sure it will works on you too!

Mom for 3 days.

As-salam =)

To cut short the 'mom for 3 days' things, you see my mom went to KL few days back for function, weeding and stuffs. So, I was in charge of the house, including the cooking and cleaning. It starts good as I didn't really cook the meal, I just heat it up - mom was making nasi lemak right before she left.

The next day, I decided to make 'sosej roll' for breakfast and Shasha, she just ate couple of toast with peanut butter. Luckily, we don't really have a big appetite. Its okay with us to not eat rice for lunch, or eat once a day. And for lunch, I made 'sup telur' as Shasha demands it so badly, along with 'kentang goreng' and some side dishes I can't remember - but it just a simple meal, though. Late that evening, we went to Tesko for some quick shopping, buying some groceries since I promised Sarah to make a 'Cheese Macaroni' for next breakfast. This is what I came out with.

My version of 'Macaroni Cheese'

Nyum! Nyum! Is my cooking really looks delicious? Well, it was not-a-thing. So simple! Even a blind lady can serve better than me. Haha. Enough criticize. For lunch, I just fried some parts of 'ikan talapia', and just it. Sarah have her lunch outside as she going for a date with her 'jodoh'. Me? I don't really eat a lot at home. So, it is just enough for me. Then, we went out to Central Square for some 'buying agenda' - buy phone for Wawa (at first, but lastly I end up buying myself a phone! Lunatic!)

The following day, which was today, I made sandwich for breakfast. Its not really sandwiches as I just spread the peanut butter along with the jelly for Shasha and served her the 'calci-yum' thing. Sarah, she prefers some toasts, which she can possibly make - I don't have to serve her. I just made some tea for the day. And lunch, I fried some parts of chicken and made a big omelette. At 730 p.m, we went out fetching mom and Wawa at the bus station.

That are my kind of day being 'mummy' for 3 days. Something, right before I start cooking, I keep on thinking of what am I going to cook today? What if my cooking did not really please the sisters? What if ... what if... I kept on thinking that! It sort of madness. It hard to be a mom, or parents maybe? But, most importantly,, yes, it's hard to be a mom! Nowadays, both mom and dad are working, yet most of guys prefers to still let the 'mom' works alone on the house cleaning things, well mostly!

My experience of being mom for 3 straight days was truly exhausting. I mean, I cook, I wash the dishes, I clean the house and fold the clothes right after the chores. Its tiring to see the untidy house. I folded it while watching TV - and not my kind of channel.

Now, I can clearly see and feel what my mom felt. Sometimes, she could yell at us and cries for awhile just to ease the tiredness.

Mom, I am so sorry and sinful to you for not helping you sometimes. :'(

p/s: I am totally not mentally ready to be a wife and housewife to do such unfinish chores, unless my husband could somehow provide me a maid to help with the chores. Haha.
