A part of my holiday.

As-salam =)

It's not really a vacation if you don't have everyone you care about, right? A part of my holiday, mine were just another typical holiday. Nothing much, except for the spending time and the relax part. I am actually at KL, visiting the pregnant sister and attending a orthopedic's appointment, which is today. I really missed my braces, like a lot! I missed of being thin and lack of appetite. LOL! Propa sangat kan? But then, braces really do help me control the weight when I was in secondary school.

The doctor checked the teeth and hand-over a retainer to me, for the lower part of my teeth. It was a bit hard to put it in and really fix it with my teeth. He pushed it real hard that he sort of 'pinch' the lips. Ouch! My retainer has to be on 24/7, so no special free retainer's case for me. I bought my own case later when I was at OU this evening, having lunch at Seoul Garden with the family. Pregnant young mom's treat! I like it ^ ^ It was fun spending the rest of your day at the mall where you rarely go. Happy but a bit tired. I even begged for water. Had to spend MYR 2 for the 600ml Dasani drinking water. It's like they packed a miracle water in there or something? Aiisshhh! I bought nothing much compared to the rest of them. Just a new beg and some few cheap stuffs. Woohoo! Best2!

Oke, let me treat you with the retainer. Sort of like this. Not my retainer. I am wearing this beauty-is-pain right now, while blogging this.

Mine minus the stripes. I got some clear sprinkle all over it. Just plain.
The “Traditional” Hawley retainer is made of rigid acrylic and wire. The acrylic rests on the roof of the mouth or under the tongue while the wire wraps around the teeth to hold them in proper alignment. Hawley retainers are best utilized in cases where teeth have been extracted and the space needs to be held closed, or when teeth are missing and the space must be kept open for future restorative work.

Retainer is used to fix the targeted teeth. In my case, my four bottom teeth are a mess. HAHA. So, since the family decided to go on braces and retainer, I just join the club. Even the mother and preggy young mother wear a retainer. Just a different one ^ ^ I had a difficult time adjusting my talk, how to hold the tongue. A bit uncomfortable. My lips chapped a bit. But, I'll get used to it soon enough.

Oke, below are types of retiner I've been using. Some, I did a simple research for readers extra information.

My previous retainer.
The invisible retainers are made of a clear plastic material that has been heated and molded over your teeth on the molds taken after the braces have been removed. These can also be used for whitening trays.

I have this on my upper teeth. A PERMANENT RETAINER.
The bonded “permanent” retainer can be used on one or both arches. It is most generally bonded to the tongue side of the front teeth. This type of retainer is especially helpful in a case of severely crooked or crowded teeth, or to keep large gaps from opening back up.

For those who are interested, you can get yours at the nearest and trusted dental care for only MYR 2000. WHAT-A-cost, right?

My short cut tips: MARRY YOURSELF A SOLDIER TO GET BRACES FOR FREE! ^ ^ *wink*

Setiap orang mesti tahu dan ambil tahu!

As-salam =)

Utusan 23 Januari 2012

Lelaki dipercayai ahli keluarga cuba menyelamatkan mangsa

Aku jadi was-was. Sayangnya baru sekarang terbit rasa menyesal.

I am way far to be one best teacher!

As cute as piglet?

As-salam =)

I personally don't find pig is cute, like seriously. Pig is just a pig, and not getting cuter even on the second view. Most of Muslim people don't say pigs are cute since pigs are forbidden to even touch ,nether less to eat. And it is sinful too! And, usually Muslim people don't feed the pigs - found by the road side or even at zoo. Not like other animals like cats, dogs, birds, etc, we feed them sometimes. I even feed stray dogs.

Same picture as in the facebook
As I was facebook-walking today, I had read this conversation of some teenagers, high school students in Labuan. You see, the friends had uploaded a picture of a piglet and tagged some of the friends. She was actually joking about saying the male friend is a piglet. But, he actually don't mind it at all! And he even says the piglet is cute and proud to be one. Sigh! Crazy huh? I was shock, really! And thought, "Oh, he may not a Muslim, even he has name like one!". So, I clicked his name and search for his religion. Subhanallah, he's a Muslim. Oh!

Here are some interesting facts about pigs:
Interesting & Amazing Information on Pigs
  • Pigs do not have functional sweat glands. They use water or mud for the purpose of staying cool in hot weather.
  • Pigs do not prefer to sit in mud. Infact, they prefer cleanliness much more than other animals. They use the mud only as a coolant in summers, that too out of necessity.
  • Mud also provides the pigs protection against flies and parasites, apart from being used as a form of sunscreen, which protects their skin from sunburn.
  • A female pig is called a sow, while the male is called boar. The baby of a pig is called piglet.
  • Pigs have such a well developed sense of smell that they can easily find things underground.
  • Many experts consider pigs to be more trainable than dogs or cats.
  • The largest pig till date was a Poland-China hog, named ‘Big Bill’. It weighed 2,552 lbs and had a height of 5 feet and a length of 9 feet.
  • The scream of a frightened pig can measure 115 decibels, higher than the taking off noise of a jet engine (113 decibels).
  • Even though pigs have four toes on each hoof, they walk on only two of the toes. This makes them look as if they are tiptoeing.
  • The largest litter of piglets ever born included 37 piglets, out of which 36 were born alive and 33 survived.
  • A full grown pig can drink up to 14 gallons of water a day.

This is the interesting facts as listed on the internet. But, seems like they missed TWO IMPORTANT POINTS here, which are:
  1. Pig, is an animal happened to be bisexual.
  2. It eats on theirs or others poops.
Since it almost the end of the world, certain people will may have opinion about how cool to be bisexual. Am I right? I am not talking anything near the 'Sexual Merdeka' thing, or even a politic issue here! NO! Just, about pigs - sow, boar and piglet.

I am not MRS. KNOWEVERYTHINGS, so I might want to have do some more studies on pigs. I'll get the fact of why pigs are not so cute and dirty!

    Home made Skin Bleaches

    As-salam =)

Bleach the skin, how does it works? And what make it works? I've seeing this one beauty center advertising about 'bleaching'. They claim to enlighten the body skin through this procedure called 'bleach' technique. With what, I don't really know. Laser, perhaps? After all, I can guarantee you that most customers eager to get fast result. Right? That's why they paid the beautician for.

Fast result but too many side effects are not worth paying for. So, let's get traditional. Use natural remedies that can easily find in our kitchen. For this, you might need:

    1. Orange peels
    2. Raw milk
    3. Almonds
    4. Honey
    5. Few grams of flour
    6. Tumaric
    7. Lemon/lime juice
    8. Milk cream
    Read the following instructions:
(This are several methods that readers can do. Your choice!)

    1. Make a citrus paste to lighten your skin. Take the peels of oranges and dry them in the sun until hard. The citric acid in orange (and lemon) is said to have bleaching properties. Grind the fully dried peels into a fine powder. Add raw milk to the powder to make a paste. Apply the paste to your skin one to two times daily, leaving on the skin for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash the paste off with warm water when it has dried completely.
    2. Use almonds to make a paste for bleaching skin. Soak almonds in water overnight and peel them in the morning. Make a paste and add a few drops of honey. Apply the paste onto your skin, scrubbing it off thoroughly when it has dried.
    3. Make a paste for lightening skin with gram flour. Mix two spoons of gram flour, a pinch of turmeric, three drops of lemon juice, and a few drops of milk cream into a smooth paste and apply to the skin. Wash thoroughly when the paste has dried. This paste can be applied to the entire body.

Imagine, such a beautiful girl; long healthy hair, fair complexion, drolling body shape, sexy lips, fine attitude ... BUT with dark armpits sit beside you table showed hers by incident. What would you think? If I were in her shoes, I would pack up my things, wrap the food I ordered and leave. It is so embarrassing for a girl or a woman to have 'not-so-beautiful- armpit. Yes, people can argue about why should a female (when it comes to armpit, people will easily appointed to female rather than male) have a clean and beautiful armpit (no dark shades).

One point can answer it all.

    1. Most of women will get married some day. Do you want the husband to see the dark shades of your armpit? When one get intimate, armpit is one of the sensual part of the women body. Remember that!
Well, I think I clearly made my point. =) Women with hair pits (I referred here as long armpit - more than 1 cm long) is a type of women whom are poor in hygiene. Think about the body odour. Yucks!

Here, I attached some of related websites for readers further reading about the topic. It is so cool that you can actually do some experiments to one same idea, 'bleach'.

    Read more:

With Allah will, I do researches about how to choose deodorants. Okay? Sharing about this beauty stuffs are a total fun for me. =)

    Until next time.

    Tabarruj

    As-salam =)

Disgusting, but that's the fact of what I am nowadays!

    Tunjukkan aku.

Are you ready? Six obstacles to overcome!

    As-salam =)

I've been reading lately about a real life story of a non-Muslim girl that some how attracted to Muslim hijab. The story begins when a Muslim girl (referred as 'A') went to this non-Muslim girl's (referred as 'B') house for an interview. They start the interview, chat a little bit and have a drink. B served a mineral water to A. While A was drinking the water, B glazed at A's hijab. And B asks.

A - "Don't mind if I ask. Don't you feel hot wearing that, mam?".
B - "What? This hijab? No. Not at all. I start to wear my hijab when I was in primary school".
A - "Oh. Okay. But it was nice, though! I like it. I just love the color and tone. Nice!"
B - "There's no harm for non-Muslim to tr to wear one. Try it! I'm sure you'll look lovely in this".

Even a non-Muslim attracted to Muslim's hijab. It is such an honor for us, Muslim. I myself, I do not wear hijab, not until I was 19 years old. I used to have so many excuses whenever somebody asked me why. But my all-time favorite answer will be,
"Well, even a girl wears hijab cannot behave themselves!"
Here is a good guide for anybody whom think they are ready to wear one. Six obstacles to overcome!

Are you Ready? Six Obstacles to Overcome
Thinking about wearing Hijab? Here are some tips to help you overcome obstacles that may get in your way:
    • Yourself –Not sure if you are ready? Remember that Iman (faith in Allah) includes submitting to Allah’s will. Research, understand the reasons and talk to girls who have gone through it. Ask Allah to help you put your beliefs into action. Prophet Muhammad relates that Allah said, “if [My servant] draws near to Me a hand’s span, I draw near to him an arm’s length; if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
    • Your Friends – Worried about how your buddies will take it? Your friends should accept your decision and be proud of your courage. Give them time and be patient. Be conscious of Allah, not the girls or guys.
    • Your Parents – It’s difficult to do things when the people closest to you oppose it. As Muslims, it’s our duty to please our parents, unless their wishes go against the command of Allah. As much as your parents do for you, their love and mercy could never compare to that of your Creator. Ease your parents into your decision and pray that it becomes easy for them to understand.
    • At School –It takes courage to be different. You are likely to hear, “what is that thing on your head?” or “who made you do it?” Questions aren’t bad. Know your reasons and explain why you chose to wear Hijab.
    • At Work – The United Nations states that, “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion” (Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 18). Most countries in the world abide by this declaration and have their own laws that protect an individual’s freedom of religious practice at work.
    • At the Gym – What about swimming or basketball for sporty sisters? Obeying Allah and wearing Hijab does not limit your physical activity. Organize sisters-only sports events. This encourages true sportswoman-ship. When you play, it’s about the love of the game, not the glory (or the guys watching!).

Myself wearing a long hijab (Thanks roomate for letting me borrow yours!)

I am not yet to wear an extended hijab. Mine are just moderate. But, insyaAllah. =) I prefer if my 'Hijrah' takes time and I can stick to it, rather than fast-mode 'Hijrah'.

p/s: Have the hair, neck and chest covered are a must. We can always improved oneself. Let's us start wear one and extant the length of the hijab day by day. =)

    Siapa yang cantik?

    As-salam =)

Happy Thursday, everyone! =) As you may know, today (7 July 2011) is actually a public holiday for Penang due to its memorable of historical city (Bandaraya Bersejarah - tak reti la nak translate in formal English. haha). I considered today as a perfect day to relax and self-reflect as I sort of losing grip on something in some parts, especially when it comes to class routine, like the class register? I totally too tired to neat it up! Now, here comes my chance! =)

But, for today, my first self-reflect is gonna be on, 'Siapa lebih cantik'? I was scrolling down my facebook's page when I saw a note, shared by a friend of mine.

    Here's the note.

    ********************************************************************

Kalau di barat sekarang, the thinner the better, tapi berbeza pula di Mauritania, Africa, the bigger the better.
Janganlah sanggup melanggar larangan agama demi kelihatan cantik.

    ******************************************************************

This is something we don't get everyday; self-reflect on what is beauty! I don't easily judge people by  the way they look because I happened to know some friends whom are not as good as they look. But, to be honest, sometimes I do depends on one appearances for my first impression. Example of the situation often to be when my previous boyfriend (my C H E N T A now, he never cheats on me!) cheated on me with another girl. So, I would 'read' my enemy by the way she looks to estimate how she would/could react. OR, I could say, 'No. She's not even pretty', to ease up my feeling towards the situation. In that way, I'll gain my confident and stay calm longer. Trust me, I am not the one who could stand  affair, and not a perfect partner to be with IF you plan on cheating. I would do everything to express my feeling. For example, once I found out about the cheating, I rent a car and drive a long hours to his place, get in a fight - slap and mock them, then I left. Yes, I am a punk back to old days! I don't even know what is wrong and what is right at the time.

But, it is just it! Alhamdulillah, I am more matured now and considerable.

    Self-reflected! How about you?

Health Benefits of Ginger and a Recipe for Real Ginger Ale

    As-salam =)
Was planning to sleep superb early today 'cause I am so tired, caused by the PMS. Yet, wide awake deleting emails from my account. I found several newsletters wrote by Dr. Ben Kim about health. I sort of pick the best one, which I found it beneficial and easy to make, and I would love to share it here and hopefully we will get most benefits from it.

    Here how it goes,

    **********************************************
Long before the creation of Canada Dry and other sugar-laden soft drink versions of ginger ale, people used to make and drink real ginger ale for its refreshing taste and health benefits.
Real ginger ale is made with...you guessed it, real ginger! And ginger has long been used by Asian cultures to treat and prevent a variety of physical ailments.

Ginger Helps to Ease Digestive Discomfort
In the practice of traditional Chinese medicine, ginger is often prescribed to decrease intestinal gas production and to relax the smooth muscles that line the digestive tract.
Double-blind studies have found ginger to be effective in decreasing symptoms of motion sickness, particularly sea sickness. More specifically, intake of ginger has been shown to decrease feelings of dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and the production of cold sweats. One study even found ginger to be more effective than Dramamine, a drug that is often used to treat symptoms of motion sickness.
Ginger is Effective for Nausea and Vomiting Associated with Pregnancy
A large-scale study that was published in the April 2005 issue of Obstetrics and Gynecology found that ginger can effectively decrease nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, even in severe cases where strong anti-vomiting drugs are normally prescribed. As was to be expected, there were no adverse or "side" effects reported with pregnancy outcomes due to ginger intake. Contrast this with the risk of birth defects that is associated with taking anti-vomiting drugs, and it's really a no-brainer for all pregnant women who experience intolerable nausea and vomiting to try taking small amounts of ginger before resorting to conventional drug-based treatments.

    Ginger Provides Natural Anti-Inflammatory Effects
Real ginger is abundant in natural compounds called gingerols, which have strong anti-inflammatory properties. Numerous clinical studies have found that ginger can provide significant pain relief to people who suffer with degenerative or rheumatoid arthritis and/or chronic pain in their muscles.

Ginger Can Provide Protection Against Colorectal Cancer and Ovarian Cancer
Research presented at the Frontiers in Cancer Prevention Research meeting in Phoenix, Arizona in October of 2003 suggests that gingerols found in real ginger may inhibit the growth of cancer cells in the colon.
Research findings presented at the 97th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer showed that gingerols are actually able to kill ovarian cancer cells.

    How to Take Ginger

Because ginger is so concentrated with gingerols and other beneficial nutrients, a small amount goes a long way.
Ginger tea made by steeping a 1/2-inch slice of fresh ginger in a mug of hot water is usually enough to sooth an irritated digestive tract.
For arthritis-related pain, eating even a quarter inch slice of fresh ginger with food or freshly pressed juices can provide significant relief.
How to Select and Prepare Ginger
You should aim to choose fresh ginger over dried ginger whenever possible, as fresh ginger is more flavorful and contains higher levels of beneficial nutrients. Fresh ginger can be found in most food markets in the produce section. Look for roots that are firm and free of mold.
You can peel the skin with a knife, a potato peeler, or even the edge of a spoon.
If you don't feel up to cooking with ginger, an excellent way to get it into your diet is through freshly pressed juices. If you have a juicer or a strong blender, I encourage you to give the following recipe for all-natural ginger ale a try:

    Real Ginger Ale Recipe

    Ingredients:
1-inch piece of ginger root, peeled
    1 medium tangerine, quartered
1 pint of red grapes, with seeds
2 cups of watermelon, with rind, cubed
4 ounces of sparkling mineral water
    Directions:
Push ginger root, tangerine, grapes, and watermelon through a juicer.
Add mineral water to juice and stir well.
If you use a strong blender in place of the juicer, use some of the sparkling mineral water to get the ingredients going and add the remaining water once the ingredients are blended together. Depending on the strength of your blender, you may need to use a strainer if you prefer a clear ginger ale.
Because this recipe for natural ginger ale calls for quite a bit of fruit juice, it's best to have it only occasionally. If you have trouble maintaining a healthy blood sugar level, you can juice a 1/4 slice of fresh ginger root with six leaves of romaine lettuce, 3 ribs of celery, and 2 carrots for a ginger-flavored green vegetable drink.

    Kisah benar pekerja estet

    Assalamualaikum ..

Baru lepas baca satu entri baru di Ameno World bertajuk 'Kisah sebenar pekerja estet'. Cerita yang pada pendapat aku amat menyedihkan. Tergamak aniaya orang lain semata-mata untuk keuntungan diri sendiri! Sangat memalukan!

    "Cepat-cepatlah pi mampos!"

"Kecik-kecik tak nak mati, besar-besar menyusahkan orang!"

"Kau tak ada lagi aman la!"

So, new lesson today! Kan?
